Week 50, 2025: #frAnks
G’day folks.
This week felt big, in ways I’m still unpacking. The headline event was my sister’s wedding, which meant equal parts joy and chaos. It still hasn’t sunk in quite yet.
It kicked off with the haldi ceremony, with people enthusiastically applying haldi with a level of confidence that suggested there would be no survivors. The wedding itself was beautiful. One of those days where everything came together; the setting, the people, and the emotions. Watching my little sister get married was surreal (still is), slightly bittersweet, and deeply wholesome. I am happy for her! The celebrations wrapped up with a reception at a resort. Great band, genuinely amazing food, and a good atmosphere all around!
Just when I thought it was all winding down, there was an after party yesterday. Which was… not winding down at all. There was a lot of dancing, followed by AMAZING late-night group karaoke. We went pretty hard. We all sang like nobody was listening and I danced like my knees were invincible, and am now operating with lungs and joints that feel deeply betrayed. No regrets though — it was SUPER fun and I NEEDED this.
The days around all this were a blur of running around, last-minute fixes, and managing the general chaos. Now there’s a gentle comedown… the house feels quieter and the adrenaline has worn off. I am a tad exhausted as I type this, but in a good, content kind of way.
All in all, it felt like a full week. Big moments, small pauses, and a realisation that family milestones always hit a little deeper than you expect.
Until next time!
