Week 49, 2025: Fast days

G’day folks.

Oh look, December’s here!

This week. Man. Calling this week brutal would be an understatement. It was fast-paced / hectic, and I also dealt with a migraine that lasted multiple days. I went pretty hard. Not good, Anith.

The weekend was also its own kind of hectic. It was filled with shopping, an activity that I don’t enjoy. I mean I’ve put this off for so long — I am a major slacker when it comes to this activity, similar to Jeff Lebowski from the movie The Big Lebowski. The dude abides.

I managed to get through it all (at Inorbit Mall) and am pretty happy with what I purchased. For starters, I got myself a three piece suit, which I have to get altered to fit my body (not a surprise! Also last-minute alterations, yay! I wonder why I am so chill about all this.) I got myself a traditional Kurta set too, which again did not fit me, but I decided to roll with it.

The suit is all black and I wanted a black tie too (it did not help that I had my Wayfarers on the entire time), to which my sister stopped me short, and to my objections she said, "You’re not in Men in Black," in her typical no BS manner which made me chuckle. I couldn’t find suitable (glossy) dress shoes that fit me either. Well, one of them did, but my toes were CRAMPED. So I copped an all-black Nike Air Force 1s (about time!) to go with my suit. I will definitely stand out with my three piece all-black suit and Nike AF1s. (I am smiling like an idiot as I type this.) I also got myself a pair of Birks.

I’m satisfied with what I bought. No regrets.

In other news, this was also the Spotify Wrapped week, and for the first time, I wasn’t enthused about it. (Sign of a major character development right here. I think I don’t much care about my listening data anymore.)

This year, Metal topped my charts, which is interesting. Incidentally, I’ve been listening to a lot of metal this week.

Also, below are my top songs / artists. Kendrick Lamar topping my charts for the 5th time in a row?!

Something else from Wrapped that I found amusing, and a tad bit true, from the image below. I definitely used to make playlists for close friends in the past. So being a "Curator" suits me well.

I also finished reading Shoe Dog this week. I am now short of 3 books from my original 10 books goal for the year, and I feel like I still have time? Well. Let’s see how this goes!
