Week 47, 2025: Come as it went
G’day folks.
It’s been a busy one, so not much excitement to report, but still a few little things worth jotting down.
I missed all my workouts this week (a first!), but I’m planning to pick things back up from tomorrow.
I’ve also been thinking about getting back into making generative art. Making no promises here though. ✌️ I’m juggling with 50 other things lately, from trying to stay fit to managing the general chaos of life, so it’s no surprise I end up mentally and physically drained most days. Still, the urge to create is there.
I am already having thoughts of writing a recap post for this year — but not quite yet. I have a feeling it’ll revolve around two keywords: resilience (again!) and patience; two themes that have quietly defined most of this year for me. More soon.
I also dipped into my old Arena channels this week after ages, and rediscovered one called “Personal Scrapbook.” It’s filled with genuinely warm, positive comments and little texts from past friends. I’m not usually sentimental, but these hit me. I’d forgotten about many of those interactions, and I miss them. Wherever they are now, I hope life’s treating them well. Link to Personal Scrapbook.
^ I miss that whole lockdown-era Design Twitter. 'Twas fun. I’m glad I archived these little moments, and I think I want to start doing it again. We shall see.
On the lighter side, I’ve definitely been playing a bit of guitar. I think I butchered both songs below, but hey, still learning, still having fun! (still D.R.E. — sorry, had to. :P)
1979, by The Smashing Pumpkins
Come As You Are, by Nirvana
I started watching The Rookie today, out of sheer curiosity. I hadn’t opened my Netflix in SO long. I’ve been either playing my guitar or doing crosswords as it plays in the background. (Not sure why I decided on mentioning that mundane fact here.)
Until next time.
