Week 42, 2025: Growing gains (and pains)
G’day folks.
Nothing much exciting to report on from this week, so this post will be rather short and focused a tad on fitness.
I’ve been keeping up with my workout routine and goals (although I missed Wednesday cos I was too exhausted). However I did double time on Thursday so I’m all square! I also introduced a 6kg kettlebell into my routine so it's all working out really perfectly.
I am still struggling a bit with leg day. Reverse lunges huuuuurt like hell, and I’m not even using weights right now! I am only managing one set for now, but I plan to work through it and conquer it eventually.
Also, this week I broke several workout records of my own, according to my Apple Watch. Not that it means anything in the grand scheme of things, but it’s nice to have that timely (no pun intended) bit of motivation every now and then I suppose.
I’ll list my achievements for the week here, though I want to be mindful that this isn’t about bragging. I’m not doing this for the achievements anyway. Just listing them down here for this one instance (probably) because I’m bored and really feel like writing. (Said no one ever.)
- Move Goal 200% (x2)
- Exercise Record — 106 mins spent (16 Oct)
- High Intensity Interval Training Record — 3,526 kJ (~842 cal) burned (17 Oct)
- Functional Strength Training Record — 2,068 kJ (~494 cal) burned (18 Oct)
Again, it looks like I burned most calories on Friday (~842 cal). The high intensity workouts are no joke.
It feels really good too.
If anyone’s reading this, I hope this motivates you. Keep on keepin’ on.
Until next time.
