Week 36, 2026: Sanctuary

My vacation continued this week. I was at home after returning from my Goa trip — mostly chilling / reading a book. I haven’t started a series, although I had thoughts of starting one, but I opened Netflix and got overwhelmed. I think I need some good recommendations from people at this point.

It’s been really long since I’ve watched any series on streaming. (I think that’s a good little fun fact about me.)

It was also my Dad’s birthday this week. We had a celebration at home, but my sister couldn’t make it as she was sick. Plenty of people are falling sick at the moment. Must be the season. I’ve been sneezing and coughing a lot today too.

Anyway. We played Ludo and Scrabble at home. I last played Ludo as a child, and I completely forgot the rules. Fun!

I started reading My Friends, by Fredrik Backman. It’s good and I’m finding it relatable. I laughed and also got a bit emotional at places as I was reading through it. It’s a bit weird to see a book do this to me. Very timely read, and I’m glad I picked this up, as I’m really missing my friends.

I also started watching Uncle Roger food review videos on YouTube. They are hilarious. I’m seeing a lot of food-related videos on my feed lately. I don’t know how that happened.

I also restarted my Skyrim playthrough (literally from last Sept!) Very chill, immersive, and easy to lose a few hours in. I’ve had thoughts of making art as I was playing through. It’s been so long and I’ve lost my touch. Life happens.

Yesterday, I met up with two colleagues from my NCR days. I was really looking forward to it. It was as if we never really left because we just effortlessly resumed our conversation. We met at a place called Sanctuary, and it had a really great vibe. It made me feel like I ought to meet them more often. We live in the same city after all. It’s just I think everyone’s busy with their lives, so I don’t reach out. (Same excuse I gave yesterday, and apparently so do they, which is not good on either sides haha.) It was so good to see their growth and recent successes! It made me SO happy and it definitely inspired me. ✨ I’m manifesting good things for myself too. With confidence and an open heart.
