Week 35, 2025: Backstreet’s back?

G'day folks.

(Random title. I am so exhausted I can’t think of a good title.)

(Yuuup, I know I missed the last two weeks’ week notes. And to think I had a good streak going... truth is, I’ve been so busy staring at screens that I didn’t feel like spending even more time at the computer on weekends, ya know?! Even writing this right now makes my eyes watery, and I’ve had to reduce brightness and turn on dark mode. Probably should wear my sunnies indoors, too.)

Work’s kept me busy the last three weeks, mostly keeping my head down. But I’ve got to remember to have fun sometimes — I feel that’s been lacking. Just gotta pace myself better, I suppose.

It has also been raining on and off a bit this week, and we had Ganesh Chaturthi, which meant good time with family. It’s a big deal on my mother’s side; I used to spend time at my grandma’s place and have fun with my cousins when we were all kids. I do miss those days sometimes, since everyone is now spread apart across different time zones.

I also got myself a jigsaw puzzle last Sunday. I spent most of the day trying to solve it. Progress is questionable. Morale also questionable. It’s no fun when you’re doing it by yourself.

I’ve been thinking of making travel plans as it’s been a WHILE since I’ve gone anywhere new — I’ll keep this space posted on that.

OH, speaking of travel plans, my sister booked me a ticket for Lollapalooza next year (in Mumbai) on Friday, and Linkin Park is going to play??? I haven’t been keeping track of their new line-up, but am looking forward to it nonetheless, as it’s been a minute since I’ve gone to any live shows.

OH speaking of my sister, she’s been pestering me to join a gym (I mean, I lift weights at home... sometimes) since the last 3 weeks, so I MIGHT go starting tomorrow? I dunno, man.

Currently listening to Michael Jackson as I write this. My most-played song this week was Voyager, by Daft Punk. Deep. Introspective. Feels.

Until next time.
