Week 32, 2025: Card games (and other notes from a damp week)
G'day folks.
(Note: The title length is directly proportional to the number of Sufjan Stevens tracks I listened to while writing this.)
It rained a lot this week, mostly in the evenings. A minor tragedy for my commute. Work took up most of my time, and I’ve been in focus mode for much of it. Definitely felt a tad low on energy this week. Not complaining; it is what it is.
At the office, we marked the interns’ final week with card games — Sequence and Mafia. I enjoyed both, although my Mafia performance suggested I should not consider espionage as a fallback career (I was Detective twice)! We also went out for dinner at Haiku. Spirits were high. (So were chopsticks!)
My new car remains more of a parking lot sculpture than a mode of transport. I did take it out today. The Ronin received similar token attention. Both seem forgiving. All in good time?
I picked up Dark Matter, by Blake Crouch again. My Kindle has been collecting dust all this time, as have my reading goals.
My most-played song this week was GOD., by Kendrick Lamar.
Until next time.
