Week 30, 2025: It’s Ronin time

G'day folks.

(Note to self: I know the title is corny – it’s the best I could come up with. Sorry not sorry. 🙈)

It rained most of the week. The kind of steady, unremarkable rain that makes you stare out the window a lot and reconsider every outdoor plan.

Work was hectic, too. It’s all looking OK, though.

I got my new motorcycle this week: the Ronin (pictured below) that I mentioned in my previous week notes! I spent most of the week looking at it parked downstairs though, because of the rains and whatnot. I’ve started buying proper riding gear this week, too!

Also, I like what Ronin means. Something about the idea of it — moving on your own terms — feels good at the moment.

The rains finally gave up this morning. I took the bike out for its first, proper long ride, in the evening. The roads were dry and open, it was sunny, and it felt good to just keep going.

My most-played song this week was The Only Living Boy in New York, by Simon and Garfunkel. It matched the wet, rainy vibes. Or maybe it just made the rain feel like it matched something.

Until next time!
