Week 29, 2025: More green, less screen?
G’day folks.
Work this week was the usual blur — nothing groundbreaking, just the steady churn of productivity.
Tuesday brought a rare break from the usual screen glow. I volunteered for a tree-planting drive at work. Oddly, I was the only one wearing gardening gloves. There are photos of us looking outdoorsy — smiling, crouched, a tad proud. Planting a sapling had a bit of a calming effect. The tree goes in the ground. You pour in the soil, pat it down. Done.
Pictured below: the sapling I planted.
It rained through the weekend, which meant all plans were quietly cancelled by the universe. I’d been hoping to watch the new Superman movie, but bailed at the last minute — some streets were waterlogged, and I wasn’t in the mood to drive (or wade) through all of that.
I tried creating some generative art on Saturday. I opened the editor, messed around with setting up the file — then ended up just lying on the bed. So it quietly turned into a procrastination session. Not the worst way to spend a rainy afternoon.
In more exciting news: I’m planning to buy the TVS Ronin on Monday. I’ll be honest, I’m partly buying it because I want to believe I’m the kind of person who rides to clear their head. We’ll see how it goes.
My most-played track this week was From Yesterday, by Thirty Seconds to Mars. Nostalgic.
Until next time!
