Week 28, 2025: Everything in motion

G’day folks.

The week passed in the usual fog of meetings, Slack pings, Figma comments, and tabs I meant to read. In other words, work was busy.

I also slept a lot this week. Just an acknowledgment to self. (I overslept on one of the week days, even!)

I had plans to go see the new Superman movie. Naturally, finding tickets was super tricky. By the time I checked earlier in the week, the only seats left were front row, far left. Nein danke.

I finally booked the Kia Syros today! Delivery is expected in 2 weeks / roughly by the end of the month! 🎉

Also went bike-hopping this weekend. I test rode a few; the TVS Ronin and Honda CB350 RS/H’ness are currently in pole position. They’re among the few bikes that don’t make me look like a circus act on wheels. For a 6’4” person, that’s not nothing. I’ve tried plenty of motorcycles, and almost all of them felt like a compromise. These ones actually fit.

The H’ness, in particular, seems built with both rider and pillion in mind — rare generosity. The Ronin and RS, on the other hand, are great for solo rides, but I’m not entirely sure how comfortable they’d be for a pillion sitting behind me. That feels like a future problem. I’m sure they’ll let me know.

Decision fatigue is real, and I’ve noticed it somehow only shows up after the decision. Until then, it’s just an endless loop of tabs and YouTube reviews masquerading as “research”, when really you’re just chasing gut feelings in slow motion.

My most-played track this week was Hellraiser (30th Anniversary Edition), by Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy. A song that sounds exactly like what it is — two rock legends yelling into the void with guitars for punctuation. Comforting, if I do say so myself.

Until next time!
