Week 27, 2025: High speed, medium anxiety

G'day folks.

This week was a tad eventful!

I watched F1 on Monday. I really enjoyed it, and would definitely recommend. The movie itself was great, but the theater was absolute chaos. People were hooting, hollering, and laughing at the oddest moments… honestly one of the worst movie-going experiences I’ve had in my life (so far!), but hey — it is what it is, I suppose.

Wednesday was really fun, too. We had a work outing at a local resort, and I ended up playing Uno and other card games indoors with my work mates. I got a bit buzzed, completely messed up the rules for whatever game we were playing, and couldn’t stop laughing probably on account of me being buzzed. 10/10 chaos. Quite memorable. Would do again.

That said, I’ve also been feeling a bit anxious in the latter part of this week. No real reason, just some existential noise about life, family/parents, the future, etc. Nothing too dramatic or serious. Just vibes. Not pleasant ones, obviously. I’ve been keeping my emotions in check and keeping it together. Keepin’ things real and bein’ vulnerable over here, yo.

I did consider getting back to making generative art over the weekend. I opened Cursor, stared at some old sketches, changed a variable or two, then closed my laptop. So… a productive session, by some definition. I’ve been watching random videos on YouTube, and some Ted Lasso episodes for a healthy dose of (fictional) optimism.

This week’s most played song was 528 Hz Anxiety Relief, by Miracle Tones (it doesn’t work for me — no surprise. HAHA), and Aníron, by Enya (this one calms me, because of Enya’s amazing voice). I’ve mostly been listening to Ambient music this week.

OH! and I’ve decided on a car: the Kia Syros. Might book one next week (or the week after). Let’s fucking go.

Until next time.
